• CITY BUSES

Although Granada is a small city that can easily be covered on foot, there are some lines that you may find useful:

LAC (Line of High Capacity) is the only one that runs through the town center and turns at the Aviation roundabout  to return in the opposite direction by the same route.

It operates from 6:45 until 23:45 with a very high frequency (3 to 5 minutes).

Bus Lines for Alhambra, Albayzin and Sacromonte: There are four lines of minibuses (C1, C2, C3 and C4) operating on city routes that due to its geographical characteristics (narrow streets) can not be covered by the largest urban buses:

TRANSPORT GRANADAC1: Plaza Nueva - Albayzin (from 7:00 to 23:00 every 8 minutes)

C2: Plaza Nueva - Sacromonte (from 8:00 to 23:00 every 20 minutes)

C3: Plaza Isabel la Católica - Alhambra and Generalife 2 (from 7:12 to 23:00 every 8 minutes)

C4: Plaza Isabel la Católica - Barranco - Graveyard (from 7:00 to 21:30 every 30 minutes)

The regular city bus ticket costs € 1,20.

There is also the Credibus or Bonobus, which is an electronic card for buses that allows travel at a lower price (€ 0.79). You can buy and recharge the electronic card at any local bus, except in the case of the LAC, where both tickets and recharging electronic cards have to be done in automatic machines installed at the stops.

  • AIRPORT BUS TO GRANADA

The bus from Granada Airport has no number, usually says "Autocares Jose Gonzalez" on the side. This bus does not have a fixed schedule, but comes after the arrival of each plane and runs until midnight.

From Puerta Real to the airport it takes about 45 minutes.

The cost is 3 €.

A taxi costs about 25 €.

  • GRANADA BUS STATION

The bus station is located just outside Granada, northwest of the city center.

You can reach Granada’s bus station by taking the buses SN1 or SN2. Both connect the south and north of the city through Camino de Ronda, but not through the center; to reach the bus station from the city center, you have to use the bus called LAC (Line of High Capacity) and at some point in its course (Caleta), transfer to SN1 or SN2 that will leave you exactly in front of the bus station.

Walking from the center (Plaza Nueva) takes about 45 minutes.

  • TRAIN STATIONS

The Granada train station is located 32 kms away from the Sierra Nevada ski station. Málaga-María Zambrano is the main train station in Málaga. This station is located next to the historical city centre and it is very well communicated for both train and bus arrivals.
